General corporate counsel
to numerous closely held corporations In
this capacity Mr. McCabe has utilized his extensive
business and legal expertise to advise senior executives,
owners and their families, with regard to all aspects
of business acquisition, management, and financial planning.
On behalf of his clients, he has conceived and directed
numerous business acquisitions and mergers and estate
plans to achieve appropriate personal and financial
objectives.
Represented the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts in the opening of a state trade office
in Ireland -- Massachusetts was the first U.S. state
to open a trade office in Ireland serving the entire
island. Mr. McCabe continues to advise political leaders
in Massachusetts and continues to to work closely with
the Massachusetts Office of Business Development.
General Counsel to the Lawrence,
Massachusetts Redevelopment Authority for projects which
include:
1). Legal counsel and project
manager for the conceptualization and design of a multi-community
public/private partnership for the redevelopment
of The Lawrence Municipal Airport
and a new industrial park related thereto, and assisted
in the drafting of legislation creating a new airport
authority to oversee the development of the project.

Legal counsel and project manager to
oversee the creation of a public/private partnership
for the design and implementation of a development
plan for the transformation of a large contaminated
parcel of property into the 80 acre Lawrence Industrial Park,
which has become the current headquarters
to internationally recognized corporations.

In the course of this project,
Mr. McCabe directed the creation of the design,
permitting, financing and commencement of construction
in a period of less than one year, and directed
the negotiation and sale of individual parcels
within the park to internationally recognized
organizations.
He has also served as general counsel and advisor
to community and faith based groups on matters
involving urban redevelopment and regeneration.
During the period of his representation. The
Eagle Tribune , regional newspaper for the
Merrimack valley wrote in an editorial:
"Arthur J. McCabe, officially
is counsel to the city's Redevelopment Authority
but unofficially is the linchpin to the Mayor's
development plan . . . Mr. McCabe has both the
expertise and political acumen to sell what
Lawrence has to offer. He knows how to craft
a plan to meet the needs of various constituencies
and he has the patience to sit down with those
constituencies to work out the kinks.
This
is a level of professionalism that City Hall
has sorely needed for some time now."
Upon his resignation from the authority
The Eagle Tribune again wrote:
"Mr. McCabe is the Andover lawyer
who with broad knowledge, a manner of confidence,
and effective enthusiasm, has been spearheading Lawrence's
economic development efforts . . . , he was good for
the city, he made us debate important issues . . .
He brought up possibilities that we would not have
considered otherwise . . . He made things happen .
. . He helped make Lawrence more prosperous . . Mr.
McCabe's departure will be a loss that will not be
easily replaced."
Executive Producer to 3 theatrical
productions, "Binlids",
"Rat in the Skull" and "Des" originating
in Northern Ireland and successfully performed in New
York City and Massachusetts as part of cultural exchange
programs between the Cities of New York and Belfast,
and the Cities of Lowell, Massachusetts and Derry, Northern
Ireland. In the course of this work, Mr. McCabe received
a commendation from the New York City Council for his
perseverance and dedication to the project.
Special outside counsel to
the Department of Insurance
for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the performance
of a nationwide market conduct examination of private
insurance companies. Mr. McCabe's work in this area
contributed to significant statutory revisions regulating
the sale of insurance to the elderly. His efforts received
national attention and he was asked to prepare a report
for and testify before a Congressional select-committee
on aging with regard to the legislation.
General counsel to
the Costas and Mary Maliotis Charitable Foundation,
a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the objectives
for which are to foster an appreciation and awareness
of Hellenic history and culture
Cofounder, Director, General

dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Irish
